Intas Pharma wins Global Excellence Award

Internationally acclaimed publication on World Animal Health and Nutrition- Animal Pharm, have instituted these awards to celebrate innovation and to reward excellence, in the animal health care sector. The Animal Pharm Industry Excellence Awards are the mark of Global distinction at highest level of professional acknowledgement within the Animal Health Industries today.

Intas Corporate Social Responsibility is primarily aimed at giving the organization the opportunity to make a difference beyond the core business. Intas received an outstanding review for itself for developmental works like The Neomec Project Shiksha scholarships for students and Polivet Journal for Veterinarians , informed Mr. Vijay Teng of Intas. Elaborating further on the projects, he informed that, nearly 180 meritorious veterinary students, have been benefiting by way of scholarships under the Neomec Project Shiksha for the last four years, while Polivet with a free circulation of around 9000 copies, is meant to enhance the knowledge of the veterinarians, all over India. Polivet has been recognized and indexed by many national and international agencies including CAB.

Internationally recognized names in the animal health care form the esteemed panel of 12 judges, who after going through the tedious process of looking into varied health care activities; have adjudged the winner of Animal Pharm Excellence Award in 12 different categories.

The awards were presented at the beautiful Gibson Hall, London on 25th September, 2007 wherein more than 100 top Animal Healthcare companies were represented. To name a few besides Intas who battled for the Award were Janssen Animal Health, Pfizer, Genitrix, Eurovet, Heska, Merial, etc.

For Intas, Mr. Teng added, the Award assumes much significance, as the company's animal health care division is still at its evolving stage and during this crucial period the company is being recognized for its philanthropic works.

The Award would provide Intas an impetus, for all its ongoing animal healthcare development programmes, and moreover it will motivate different Pharma companies to take up such kind of social responsibility activities in the future, Mr. Teng concluded.
